How long does a bespoke pair take?
Between 10 days and 4 weeks after the prototype fitting, depending on your design.
How many appointments are needed?
Three: the interview with measurements and design, the prototype fitting about two days later, and the delivery with final adjustments.
How much does bespoke eyewear cost?
Acetate frames start from 5,000 AED. Buffalo horn, silver, gold and frames set with stones are quoted according to your design.
What does the first appointment cost?
There is no fee for the first appointment itself: measurements and a conversation about your project. To continue to design and prototypes, a 1,000 AED commitment is paid at the end of it and deducted from your order. Design work is never started without it.
Can I order bespoke if I only visit Dubai?
Yes. We schedule your interview at the beginning of your stay and the prototype fitting two days later. If you leave before delivery, we ship your finished pair internationally.
Can you make bespoke sunglasses, with my prescription?
Yes. Every bespoke frame is designed as optical glasses or sunglasses, and can be fitted with your prescription lenses.
Which materials do you work with?
Cellulose acetate, genuine buffalo horn, brass, silver, 14k and 18k gold, precious stones, and inlays such as mother-of-pearl, leather, enamel or fabric.
How do I recognise a JAUPIN?
By its finish and comfort, by the J engraved behind the right ear, and, for LEGENDARY pieces, by their certificate of authenticity.
Bespoke or ready to wear: what is the difference?
A bespoke frame is drawn for you from a blank page, from your measurements, over three appointments, from 5,000 AED. A ready-to-wear piece is a finished design in standard sizes, adjusted to your face at the workshop and shipped within a few days.
Orders, delivery & returns
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Delivery is free within the United Arab Emirates. International orders are shipped by insured express for a flat fee shown at checkout.
Can I return a piece bought online?
Limited editions can be returned within 14 days if unworn and in their original packaging. Legendary pieces, lorgnettes and personalised orders are made to order and cannot be returned; adjustments remain complimentary.
Can I collect my order in the boutique?
Yes. Choose collection at our boutique in Gate Avenue, DIFC, and we will let you know when your piece is ready.
